Terms and conditions

Creating an account

Creating an account asks for your name, your school email, and a password. You choose the name once, and every organization uses that name. The school on your account is the one that matches your email address. You need a school email at a school registered on Harmony. We do not offer Google or Apple sign-in.

When we ask you to confirm the email, you type the 6-digit code we send. Creating an account means you agree to these terms and the privacy policy.

Signing in

You sign in with your email and password, or with a 6-digit code we email you. Forgot the password? We email a code, and you choose a new one.

On the website, your sign-in stays in a cookie. In the app, it stays on the phone. Signing in opens the organizations you already belong to. It does not join you to a new one.

Joining an organization

You join with an invite link, a personal invitation, or from the list of organizations at your school. Some organizations approve a request before you are a member. One account covers every organization you join. You start as a member unless an owner gives you another role.

Events and attendance

You can RSVP to an event, get reminders, and check in by scanning the door QR while the event is open. An officer can also check you in. Checking in records that you were there. Officers of that organization can see attendance and export it.

If an officer checks in someone who does not have an account yet, we store the name and school email the officer types. That person can claim the attendance by signing in with the same email. Claiming links the attendance. It does not make them a member.

What you agree to

Use your own name and your own school email. Do not create an account for someone else, and do not check in as someone else. Officers are responsible for the roster, the events, and the attendance of their organization. Announcements you post stay with the organization, and officers are responsible for what they post. Anyone can report an announcement or an organization from the app or the website; reports go to the Harmony team, who may remove a post or hide an organization.

If an organization charges for an event, you pay at checkout. Harmony does not store card numbers.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from your account settings. You confirm by typing "delete account". Your name, email, school, memberships, RSVPs, feedback, and push tokens are removed. Attendance stays as an anonymous count so past event totals remain accurate. Announcements you wrote stay, and the feed shows them as from a deleted account.

If you are the owner of an organization, you transfer ownership first. We will not delete the account until you do.

Changes

When these terms change, we update this page and the effective date at the top. If you keep using Harmony after that, you are agreeing to the updated terms.
